The scope included a complete relocation of both IT infrastructure and office furniture, as well as careful document handling. Pre-Move Planning

Sharps Workplace Services led a series of pre-move consultation meetings with the client to understand business-critical requirements, advise on logistics, and align with floorplans. Our team prepared detailed phasing plans to ensure continuity of operations throughout the move.

IT & Infrastructure Relocation

Our specialist IT teams undertook full decommissioning of desktop IT, servers, and associated infrastructure across both sites. This included:

  • Server decommissioning and secure relocation
  • Structured cabling and network patching at the new location
  • Recommissioning of IT assets in accordance with client configuration

All equipment was moved securely and reinstalled with minimal disruption.

Furniture & Physical Move

  • All 2,450 desks were systematically disassembled, transported, and reassembled
  • Supporting furniture such as chairs, tambour units, pedestals, and filing cabinets were also relocated efficiently
  • Our teams followed pre-agreed floor plans to ensure accuracy and usability on arrival

File & Archive Handling

A critical component of the move involved handling thousands of documents. We executed sequential packing of files into lidded crates with:

  • Accurate labelling to reflect departmental structures
  • Crate relocation and unpacking directly onto labelled shelving in the correct order

This meticulous process ensured immediate access to vital records post-move.
